Once logged in to Career Connections, you'll be able to search for internships, part-time and on-campus jobs, as well as post-graduation opportunities. If you are actively looking for a job or internship, you are encouraged to thoroughly complete your Career Connections profile. A quick way to get your profile started is to upload your current resume. Once populated, you can easily edit as you'd like. 

Part-time and on-campus employment is an exceptional way for students to gain relevant and transferable skills while earning income.­ We are committed to helping you seek, secure and cultivate success in part-time jobs while you’re in school.­ Career Connections offers a variety of positions, from on-campus jobs to part-time and seasonal employment in Canyon and across the Panhandle.

If you're interested in meaningful work experience in your major, maybe it's time to check out the WT Internship Program. An internship can be an excellent way to confirm your major, add relevant experience to your resume, and collect a paycheck. 

Finally, as you approach graduation, our staff is committed to assisting you in implementing your career plans. While the responsibility for finding a job is ultimately yours, we are here to help in any way we can, not only to find a job, but to find the right job. Employers utilize the Office of Career and Professional Development to recruit graduating students and alumni for full-time positions by posting their opportunities on Career Connections and attending our on-campus events and fairs. 

Use Career Connections to make an appointment with our staff! We are available to meet with you in a virtually or in-person on a number of topics including resume reviews, interviewing assistance, determining your career direction, internship questions, CliftonStrengths^TM coaching, and more. To set your appointment you will log into Career Connections and then select Appointments on the left-hand side of the screen. On the next screen, you can search our open availability by Location Type (virtual or in-person), Career Adviser, or Appointment Type. From there, you can select the day and time that works best with your schedule.

Mock interviews give you the opportunity to practice your interviewing skills. After you have completed a Resume Review appointment with our office, you can sign up for a Mock Interview. After you log into your Career Connections account, you will click into the Events tab. Type "Mock Interview" into the search tab to filter out any upcoming interview dates. 

After you click the date that you would like to participate on, you will submit your most up-to-date resume (this is the one the interviewer will review!) and then select the time slot that works best for you. After you sign up, you will recieve a confirmation email to your Buff email.

Mock interview cancellation policy

Because our interviewers are volunteering their time to assist our students, we need to be respectful of their time.

If you need to cancel your Mock Interview, please contact our office before your interview time. No-shows may result in the loss of access to Career and Professional Development services. 

 Clothing closet use policy

In order to assist as many students as possible with clothing from the professional clothing closet, each person is limited to one outfit each semester. Clothing Closet appointments can be scheduled through Career Connections.
